HUMAN RIGHTS
AND TOLERANCE

Dutch born Andrik Schapers, international singer and composer, has entertained enthusiastic audiences in major showrooms all over the Americas, from Venezuela to Las Vegas, Mexico City, Maui, Puerto Rico, Chicago, Acapulco, and all over Latin America. Since 1985 Andrik has dedicated a major part of his time as international celebrity to advocate Human Rights, and above all, Religious Tolerance throughout the world. Having participated in concerts from China to Australia, from Athens to Copenhagen, and all over America for this purpose, he also actively led the European Peace Movement to protest the war in Bosnia, for which he wrote the song "The Spirit of Sarajevo" and toured Europe for almost a year, doing concerts and peace marches in most major cities on the continent.

Since 1998 Mr. Schapers has been the official spokesman for the European Marathon for Human Rights. At the same time, Andrik is continuing his artistic mission as Human Rights Advocate with a song he composed for this journey, dedicated to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations entitled, "A Promise to the World." His dream is that the song will be interpreted by all major artists of the world in the language of their country.

1985 - Human Rights Concerts in Portland, Oregon with Chick Corea, Melanie, Frank Stallone, Karen Black, Stevie Wonder and John Travolta.

1986 - Human Rights Concert in Los Angeles with Al Jarreau, Melanie, Eduardo Palomo, Chick Corea and Edgar Winter.

Human rights Concert in Australia.

Human rights Concerts in Italy with Peter Schless, Gayle Moran-Corea, Flavio Cucci.

1987 - Friendship Tour through China - Beijing, Changdu, Wuhan, with Chick Corea, Kate Ceberano.

1988 - Support activities for the Mexico City earthquake, appearances on Mexico television.

1990 - Human Rights Concerts in Paris, with Julia Migenes, Havier Deluc, Marsiell-Lyan.

1991 -1993 - Human Rights Concerts in Germany - Hamburg, Frankfurt, Berlin, Stutgart, Strassbourg. Published book - Gedicht & Gedanken fur Tolerance (Thoughts & Poems for Tolerance).

1993 -1994 - Concerts for Peace in Bosnia in Rome, Paris, Vienna, Bonn, Amsterdam, Geneva, Brussels, with theme song, Spirit of Sarajevo. Concert for Bosnia at Winter Olympic Games, Lillienhammer.

1996 - Human Rights Concert in Berlin with Isaac Hayes, Ann Archer, David Pomeranz.

1997 - Human Rights Concert in Los Angeles.

1997 - European Journey for Religious Freedom and concerts in honor of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in England, Holland, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Germany.
